Development programs of villages’ revitalization in Serbia

Social assumption of forming rational rural settlements’ network of different centrality is connected to creation of development programs of villages’ revitalization in Serbia. Development programs should define aims of village’s development, conditions for achieving this, the role of the village in social development and transformation of traditional rural industry into the market one. Geographic studies of contemporary processes in rural area will contribute to identification of certain villages that will function as a carrier, an initiator and a regulator of development and transformation of geographic environment. Scientific research of this kind becomes a focus issue due to obvious deficit of new, systematic and precisely formulated development programs of rural settlements. Precise work on villages’ research in Serbia is a beginning point of activating and rational exploitation of natural, demographic and production resources which can be variedly exploited in the conditions of market economy. Beginning base of development programs of villages’ revitalization comprises continual measures (interventions and actions), effects of spontaneous influences, scientific fundament and sum of guidelines for homogenous and prosperous socio – economic development.
