Abstract
The mineral composition of the Earth crust of Serbia is very heterogeneous but compared with developed European countries insufficiently explored . Main goal of the project is to change this fact by detail investigation of different minerals Research concept of the project is based on field and laboratory investigations to obtain chemical composition, physical feature characteristics and fine structural details of minerals. Project is experimental in nature and require wide spectra of very expensive equipment such as: X-ray diffraction, electron diffraction and microanalysis, vibrational (IR) and electron (visible) spectroscopy, with numerous chemical analytical procedures. Special methods will be applied to grain size analysis, sorption and rheological characteristics, which are of importance when analyzing minerals of submicrometar proportions and their distribution in environment (soil, air or water). The purpose of the project is: By publishing high quality results to improve the level of knowledge of the mineral composition of the Earth crust on the territory of Serbia. To contribute the development of plant ecosystems by investigation of soils .To study the applicability of some minerals in technology of contemporary (modern) materials. To contribute sustainable development of the environment by recycling waste mine materials. To contribute the improvement the quality of life by analyzing submicrometar particles in the atmosphere
