The region of Vojvodina in the context of European history

Vojvodina region can be considered an inseparable part of the cultural, historical and political map of European occurrences. The project refers to a very long term period, from the archaeological epochs to the modern state, nation, society and their institutions. The diversity of topics, from an economic, political, cultural-educational, regional and common ones are all presented within it. The subject matter of the project attempts to fill in the gaps that exist in our historiography i.e. thrives to discover new directions, and verify the existing ones of a mutual connection between the old region of Vojvodina and current European trends and occurrences. The region of Vojvodina has always been a meeting place of different cultures, languages and religions and due to all that it is still something like a bridge in Europe.
