Project called Settlements and Population of the Serbian Lands in the Late Middle Ages (14th-15th Century) studies varies types of settlements (towns, market places, villages, qatuns), their foundation, development, stagnation, possible disappearance, as well as demographic subjects (density of population, migrations). Focus of the research presents the problems of urbanization of the Serbian ethnic space during the Middle Ages, as well as the relations between town on one and agrarian and cattle-breeding population on the other side. Two collective monographs, Settlements and population of Herzegovina 1475/77 and Settlements and population of Šumadija in the 15th century, should be the final result of this project.
