Abstract
Anthropozoonoses are big issue and a problem in epidemiology and epizootiology Brucellosis listeriosis Lime borreliosis tularemia considerably influence not only health of the man and animals but cause economic looses in the region as well In Serbia in last two decades there were several epidemics brucellosis and tularemia infection in Kosovo in 1999. being the most important because human incidence ranged as a third since II World War. A year prevalence of other zoonoses varies but such diseases are constantly present in the Serbia Those diseases are reportable to international institutions WHO and OIE and their diagnostics therapy control and eradication cause economic looses that reach billions of euros One of the main issues in control of such diseases is diagnosis which is often non reliable and/or slow Because of extreme pathogenic potential of some bacteria most of abovementioned diseases are classified as a potential bioterrorist agent. Because of abovementioned facts, modern diagnostic work is necessary for rapid recognition and control of the diseases. Development and standardization of the molecular and immunological methods PCR ELISA and immunoblot would greatly improve possibility to distinguish between vaccinated and carrier infected animal. Also such diagnostic methods would help to detect carrier animals no matter what serological status they are Finally modern molecular and immunological methods can help important zoonoses in Serbia to control and eradicate.
