Abstract
The subject of the investigation is Pannonian thyme (Thymus pannonicus All., Lamiaceae) and its morphological, anatomical, chemical, pharmacological and agronomic characterization, in order to recognize the possibility of its growing in intensive cropping system to obtain raw material needed for industrial production of herbal medicinal products with desired pharmacological action. Expected results: new plant cultivar and the technology of its production, new herbal medicinal products and the technology of their production, better knowledge on chemical composition, morphological characters necessary for identification of the raw material and the pharmacological effects of investigated medicinal plant.
