Lingiustic research of contemporary serbian literary language and the development of the SASA Dictionary of serbocroatian literary and national language

The project Linguistic Investigations of Contemporary Serbian Literary Language and the Compilation of The SASA Dictionary includes two main assignments: The first assignment falls within the domain of theoretical research, the subject of which may broadly be defined as lexicographic, lexicological and wider philological and linguistic investigation of contemporary Serbian literary language. It includes the identification, description and definition of basic structural semantic and morphological patterns of particular word classes with the aim of a more functional compilation of The SASA Dictionary, as well as the investigation of the development of Serbian, especially its lexis. The second assignment, lexicographic work, falls within the domain of applied linguistics, which is realized through compiling The SASA Dictionary of Serbo-Croat Literary and Vernacular language (The SASA Dictionary). Other assignments are to do with the planned modernization of work on the SASA Dictionary: digitalization of the dictionary corpus, constructing the database and establishing a lexicographic working station, as well as building an electronic corpus of contemporary Serbian.
