Abstract
The main objective of the project is the study of the poetics of the Serbian literature in the period of realism (from 1850 to 1910). The research is focused on the most prominent writers from this period, namely J. Ignjatovic, Lj.P. Nenadovic, L. Lazarevic, S. Matavulj, S.Sremac, V. Ilic, B. Nusic and R. Domanovic. The poetics includes the study the theory of literary creation, as well as the creative process. The Project will include the analysis of literary devices in their creations. The study will also include various types of literary material (period, writers, creations). The study will rest on various theoretical approaches, including implicit and explicit poetics, historical, descriptive and normative poetics.
