Abstract
The subject of this research is the explosive strenght (EXPS) of lower extremities and the bone mineral density (BMD) in the area of the heel bone of sportsmen (SM) and NSM (NSM). The goals of the research will be to determine: the difference of the BMD of the heel bone between SM and NSM; the influence of the EXPS of lower extremities on the BMD transformation of the heel bone with SM and NSM; the relation of the risk factors to the BMD with SM and NSM. The program of research will be carried out on the sample of 240 subjects of male and female sex, chosen between high school pupils in the city of Niš, age 15-18 and will last for two years. The sample of subjects will be divided into two experimental (ESS1, ESS2) and two control (CSS1, CSS2) sub-samples of 60 subjects each. The subjects of the ESS1 and ESS2 will apply a plyometric training with the researchers of the project during the regular classes of physical education in high schools. The EXPS measurements will be carried out by using the accelerometer “Myotest”, and the measurement of the BMD by using the sonometer “Sahara” in five times. The expected results are to determine: the difference in EXPS between SM and NSM; the difference in the BMD of the heel bone between SM and NSM; the influence of the EXPS on the BMD of the heel bone with SM; the influence of the EXPS on the BMD of the heel bone with NSM; the determined relation of the risk factors and the bone status of the subjects.
