Abstract
In the focus of the project research are the phenomena and processes in international relations that make an impact on Serbia’s strategic political, economic, social, technological and cultural development orientations as well as on its foreign policy, international legal, international economic and security position. Observing the changes in international relations the starting point of the research would be a fundamental assumption on the transformation of the international community into an integrated system of management of the most significant world processes – from maintaining universal peace and security to connecting national economies into a globalised system of market management by introducing new technologies and building of new legal regimes. By carrying out sophisticated interdisciplinary research of the dynamic trends in international relations, one creates an objectively reliable and systematised base that is essential for perceiving the relationships between the most significant world factors and current global trends in the international community. The rational approach mentioned above enables to make an eclectic synthesis of the theoretical and empirical knowledge on contemporary international relations. Its further application in practice should lead to finding the most optimal solutions for the sustainable development of Serbia in the process of European integrations and its strategically balanced positioning in the international community system.
