Abstract
Physical therapy cabinets are provided by various devices which shorten the time needed for patients' recovery and healing. These are the devices which use diadynamic currents, interferential currents, ultrasound waves, vacuum impulses, pulsed electromagnetic fields, etc. The aim of this project is to develop a new generation of devices for physical medicine, based on existing products of Elektromedicina do?. Key feature of new generation is to allow the device to become a networked module in the centralized intelligent system for physical therapy with implemented procedures for safe treatments. Automatic setting of device parameters and treatment monitoring with data acquisition will be implemented. A database, formed in such manner, will be an environment for design en expert system for physical medicine. Integration of the system into the wider medical information systems will be provided, too. In order to plan an optimal utilization of devices, the automatic scheduler will be designed, as well as scheduling of treatment, and monitoring of patients’ recovery by the authorized person from the remote location. Elektromedicina doo is one of few remaining companies, from the system of former Electronic Industry Nis, which survived, and the implementation of this project will completely renew their product portfolio.
