Abstract
This project is entirely devoted to design and implementation of an inteligent supervisory control system, i.e. to software and hardware solutions for early detection, diagnosis and isolation of faults in process industry equipment, especially in induction motors. The subject of the project is development, design and implementation of supervisory control system for early fault detection of devices and equipment in process industry. This system should combine hardware for data acquisition and processing with modern software tools, techniques and algorithms for data processing, feature calculation and extraction, fault detection, classification and isolation and optimization of detection process, which would result in more efficient and reliable systems. Asynchronous motors will be addressed in particular, as they are prime mover in manufacturing, due to their robustness and reliability. As a final product, the developed system will be implemented in facility “Victoria Oil” in Šid, but it could be applied in any other similar plant. Fault detection is essential in industrial facilities. Early fault diagnosis and condition monitoring can reduce the consequential damage, breakdown maintenance, reduce the spare parts of inventories, prolong the machine life and increase the performance and the availability of machines. It can also prevent the decrease of production, additional environmental pollution and negative influence to human health.
