Biography
Miljan Leković was born on October 12, 1985 in Pljevlja. He is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Hotel Management and Tourism in Vrnjačka Banja, University of Kragujevac, where he teaches Principles of Economics (bachelor level), National Economy (bachelor level), Economic Policy (master level) and Tourism Policy and Planning (PhD level). He graduated and completed his PhD studies at the Faculty of Economics of University of Kragujevac with an average grade of 9.76 and 9.62, respectively. He is an author of more than 50 scientific papers published in national and international journals and proceedings. He is the President of the Faculty Council, Head of the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities, a member of the Quality Assurance Committee of the University of Kragujevac and the Editor of the scientific journal Hotel and Tourism Management (national journal of international significance M24). He chaired the Organizing Committee of the Fourth International Scientific Conference Tourism in Function of Development of the Republic of Serbia – Tourism as a Generator of Employment held from May 30th to June 1st, 2019 in Vrnjačka Banja. He is a reviewer of the scientific journals Economics of Agriculture (М24), Hotel and Tourism Management (М51), Economic Alternatives (ErihPlus), Oditor (М51) and Ekonomika (М51). He participated in the following projects:
• ТEMPUS project: Modernization and Harmonization of Tourism Study Programmes in Serbia – MHTSPS (544543-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-RS-TEMPUS-JPCR) (2013-2016);
• COST action: CA16121 From Sharing to Caring: Examining Socio-Technical Aspects of the Collaborative Economy (2019-2021);
• Project: Stimulating Rural Tourism for the Purpose of Sustainable Local Economics Development (2015);
• Project: Green infrastructure: Analysis of the possibility of expanding green corridors on the territory of the City of Novi Sad (2021 - );
• Scientific project: Vrnjacka villas as guardians of cultural heritage – ReVillas.
He is a member of the Society of Economists of Kragujevac and the Balkan Scientific Association of Agricultural Economists. The field of his scientific and professional interest is related to Financial economics and Macroeconomics.
