Biography
Milica Stanković, M.A., is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Philology (English Department) where she previously obtained both her bachelor’s and her master’s degrees, and she is employed as a research assistant at the Faculty of Philology and Arts in Kragujevac, Serbia. She is currently working on her Ph.D. thesis entitled Chronotopical, Narrative and Thematic Influences of William Faulkner on the Works of Gabriel García Márquez. Her areas of interest include comparative literature and literary theory, with a particular focus on the interrelations between North American and Anglophone literatures, and the works of Latin American authors of the twentieth century. So far, she has participated in several national and international conferences and published papers in regional-level journals and international proceedings in Serbia and the Western Balkans.
