Biography
Jovana Pavićević is Assistant Professor in the English Department of the Faculty of Philology and Arts, University of Kragujevac, Serbia. She received a PhD in Literary and Cultural Studies from the Faculty of Philology and Arts in 2016, after completing her doctoral research on Sarah Kane and the notion of new writing. Her research and teaching interests include classical and contemporary drama and theatre, European avant-gardes, performance studies, theatre criticism, and gender and cultural studies. She has published on a range of topics, most recent include: ‘Reminiscences of Home in Jackie Kay’s Trumpet’ (2022), ‘Sarah Kane’s Crave: An Intertextual Reading’ (‘Intertekstualno čitanje drame Žudnja Sare Kejn’, 2022), ‘Apocalyptic Narratives in Anglo-American Theatre from Berkoff’s Greek to Ridley’s Eclipse’ (2020), ‘Exploring the Boundaries Between the Living and the Dead Through Jean Genet’s Macabre Theatre’ (2019).
