Biography
Gabriela Topuzovska is a specialist in the history of medicine, whose scholarly work focuses on the development of healthcare in Macedonia. Her research interest is directed toward the modern history of medicine, with a particular emphasis on the period between the two World Wars, the era of the Second World War, and the post-war period up to the present day. Through her research, Topuzovska examines key issues and challenges related to the history of healthcare in Macedonia, including health policy, the health status of the population, and the measures undertaken by health authorities to address numerous public health challenges, especially in the post-war context. Topuzovska's research on the history of medicine in Macedonia in the 20th and 21st centuries represents a significant contribution with social, historical, and sociological relevance. Her work is important not only for contemporary Macedonian historiography but also for the broader understanding of healthcare processes and policies on both national and regional levels.
