Description
The Institute for National History is a public scientific institution that explores the history of Macedonia and the Balkan Peninsula. In addition, the Institute offers postgraduate and doctoral studies in collaboration with the Institute for History at the Faculty of Philosophy-UKIM (Ss. Cyril and Methodius University). The Institute for National History has two main goals: research of the historical processes that have taken place in the territory of the Republic of Macedonia and the Balkans since the ancient times until today, as well as, training new historians through postgraduate and doctoral studies. In addition, the institute’s researchers take part in open social debates, numerous interviews, lectures, promotions, tribunes etc. By implementing such activities, the Institute contributes to the domestic and world scientific community and the cultural development of the Republic of Macedonia. The Institute is accomplishing its mission in an open and unprejudiced intellectual atmosphere.
