Associate prof. Dr. Zecir Ramcilovic was born on 1975 in the village of Dolno Konjari near Skopje where he still lives today. He graduated and finished his master degree at the Institute of Geography at the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. In the meantime, he completed another master's degree in Ottoman Language Studies at the “St. Kliment Ohridski” University in Sofia. He received his PhD degree at the Institute of National History at the University of “St. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, where he works as a scientific researcher.
He has participated in many domestic and international conferences, seminars, forums and panel debates. The result of his work is more than fifthy scientific papers published in domestic and international journals. Ramcilovic has published nine books so far: "Bosniaks in Macedonia during XX century, with an emphasis on culture and education" (2014), which was also published in Bosnian language in 2023, and in 2024 a second supplemented edition was published, "Notable Bosniaks of Macedonia" (2016), "Macedonia in al-Idrisi's "Geography"" (2017), "Municipality of Petrovec - past, present, future" (2018), "Words of Persian origin in the Macedonian language" (2019), "Tombstones from the Ottoman period in the area of Sredno Konjari, Skopje region" (2019) and “Dolno Konjari through pictures and time” (2020).
He is actively involved in the NGO sector and the socio-political life in North Macedonia. He was a councilor in the Municipality of Petrovec, a Member of Parliament in the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia from 2016 to 2023, from 2019 to 2020 was vice president of the Assembly and the Ambassador of the Republic of North Macedonia in Montenegro from 2023 to 2025.
