Purpose of equipment
The equipment is designed for the production of thin-sections of geological rock samples for study under an optical microscope (in transmitted and reflective light, with cathodoluminescence, UV luminescence, thermometry of fluid inclusions in crystals, etc.) and with other microscopic techniques.
