Description
Orthos is a private institute specialised in orthodontics and maxilofacial orthopaedics. Its premisses consist of four surgeries and one lab for RTG and one for orthodontics. The institute is a part of the Slovene orthodontic care system and provides its services to general public. The institute educates dental technicians specialised in dental orthodontics and postgraduate students specialising in orthodontics. The institute performs intensive research in the field of removable orthodontics. Prof. Franc M.Farčnik is a head of the institute. He is an internationally recognised expert in the field of removable and fixed orthodontics. He has published several professional articles and has actively participated numerous national as well as international conferences. He passes his professional experiences to his students as well as the institute employees. Orthos has been an active member of a European Council project called EURO-QUAL (European Orthodontic Quality Assurance System).
