Abstract
What does knowledge of language consist in? The linguists have concerned themselves mostly with intuitions that the native speaker has about the grammaticality of sentences, expressed simply by acceptance or rejection of a proposed candidate as a sentence of his language. We shall study the same intuitions from more philosophical point of view. We propose a methodology for research on linguistic intuitions and intuitions in general, relevant for other social and human sciences.
