Abstract
In 1998 the project focused mainly on the transition from school to work, occupational labour markets, social responsibility of the enterprises, housing mobility and adequate housing, the quality of life of the elderly, international mobility and some others. The research revealed among the other things: increasing difficulties of children to move from their parents'' to their own housing, the falling public interest for housing issues, that old age can not be considered as a factor of poverty, increasing openess of the transition countries and increasing reservation of the developed European countries against international migration, that education significantly improves employment opportunities, while drop out usually leads to unemployment, the formation of occupational space which is not regulated by market forces, and utilitarian policy of the enterprises with respect to the issues that might be a matter of social responsibility.
