Abstract
In some cellular processes a part of the process is also the membrane shape change, that depends on membrane mechanical properties. The role of the membrane mechanical properties in cellular processes will be studied in two directions: mechanical properties of the basic elements of the membrane (as for example the phospholipid bilayers) will be analyzed and biological systems will be studied to understand in what aspects the cellular processes are influenced by membrane mechanical properties.
