Abstract
Immunoenzyme tests in the form of dot immunobinding assay (DIBA) enabling simultaneous detection of antibodies against Mycoplasma gallisepticum, M.synoviae, M.iowae and M.meleagridis as well as against Newcastle disease and avian influenza (AI) viruses in sera of examined chickens and turkeys will be developed. As specific antigens immunodominant membrane proteins of Mycoplasmas (pMGA, pMSB, etc) and immunodominant viral proteins fixed onto nitro cellulose or PVDF membranes will be used. DIBA tests will highly enhace the analytical capacity of currently used individual ELISA tests and significantly improve sensitivity and specificity of detecting of antibodies to pathogenic avian Mycoplasma species.
