Abstract
Collectors are made from commercial preformed systems based on phenolic resins by injection moulding. The characteristics of these commercial systems are undefined and variable, resulting in substantial amounts of scrap and reclamation. In this project, several series of the commercial systems will be analyzed and the influence of their characteristics on the manufacturing and properties of collectors will be examined. By using this approach it will be possible to predict the applicability of supplied preformed systems, to decrease amounts of scrap and improve the quality of collectors.
