Abstract
Supporting an Exploratory Research project undertaken jointly by actions FISHREG and VESPO of the Maritime Affairs Unit within the Institute IPSC of the European Commission Directorate General Joint Research Centre. Providing technical note regarding 3D numerical modelling of vessel movements. Vessel movements, wind, waves, currents measurements acquired. The JRC has a leading role in developing Vessel Detection technology based on Synthetic Aperture Radar imagery (VDS) that has applications in fisheries, security and border control fields and provide support to the implementation of EU legislation.
