Abstract
Economical parameters of production of chains demand a new approach. Research will check the technological parameters and material properties to obtain the mechanical properties of ships chain by controlled cooling at normalization, without additional heat treatment. New knowledge based on the study of heat exchange and heat transfer of steel, together with the evaluation of existent furnace parameters will be theoretical base for the reconstruction of vertical heating furnace.
