Abstract
The preparation of composite uniform monodisperse particles via stable nanodispersions. Particles of micro- and submicrometer size in various systems (eg. ZnO/CuO) will be studied with special emphasis on their internal and surface characterization. The studies are expected to give additional insight into the mechanism of the formation of uniform nanodispersions, and into preparation of materials with unique and reproducible conductive and optical properties. For the proposed project we selected the systems of direct practical applications. Prepared materials will be used for model experiments that will explain stability of suspensions (pigments), electrochemical behaviour (varistors and electrode materials) and sintering (diffusion studies).
