Abstract
The aim of the research project is to prepare an encyclopedia of Christian ethics that does not exist in Slovenia as yet. This will require study and research of all basic concepts and of their development in Graeco-Roman, Jewish-Christian and modern horizons of thought. By this work Slovenian cultural sphere will become a part of Western European civilisation currents in the field of fundamental ethical and theological literature. It will show the influence of humanistic and Christian tradition on our ethical thought and values. At the same time this work will represent reference literature for solving modern problems posed by the highly developed technology and its application in the fields of medicine, protection of environment, activity for peace and justice and elsewhere. Methodologically, by its team approach, the project will bring something completely new and provide for a fusion of different cultural horizons and thus enrich the understanding of individual terms.
