Abstract
With the intention to research meliorative and remediation properties of wild rape or canola (Brassica napus L. var. napus) the experiment will be carried out in a hop field. Wild rape will be exposed seasonal in a field experiment. Before and after the experiment the quantity of humus, quantity of phosphorus, that is accessible to plants, potassium, magnesium, quantity of total nitrate and ammonium nitrogen, quantity of heavy metals (lead, zinc, copper, nickel, cadmium…) and the quantity of pesticides and their decompositive products.
In wild rape we will measure the concentration of heavy metals, remains of pesticids, antioxidases, determine photosynthesis activities and quantity of photosynthesis pigments.
We will record the density of the crop, quantity of the crop, moisture of seeds, part of dry substance and raw fat. At the end of the experiment, we will weigh the harvest, that is an important economical factor for the growers.
On the base of the experiment the potencial amount of biodiesel will be calculated, that could be produced from wild rape at ecological and classical harvest on a hop fields. At the same time the ecoremediation potencial of wild rape will be calculated and potencial possibilities for the improvement of soil quality on hop fields in Slovenia.
