Abstract
The goal of this project is to develop machine learning based tools and techniques for intelligent data analysis which will support automated discovery of abstract hierarchies in datasets, constructive induction and predicate invention, and improved handling of numerical information in a logic framework for machine learning. The developed tools will be experimentally applied to several difficult real-life problems, including ecological modelling, skill reconstruction, and document and natural language analysis.
