Abstract
This project proposal involves synthesis of metal complexes with ligands with asymmetric carbon atoms which can be used in chemotherapy. The interactions of metal complexes with some amines and amino acid derivatives, as well as their selectivity in the hydrolysis of peptide bond will be studied. The synthesis and modeling of the novel Pd(II) and Pt(II) complexes with bioactive ammine ligands, as well as the evaluation of their antiinflammatory and scavenging activities will be continued. Their ability to be artificial metalopeptidases will be tested. The catalytic role of Pd(II) complexes and ionic liquids in Heck reaction will be investigated. Fluorescent properties of flavanones under the influence of trivalent lanthanide ions, and their possible use in pharmaceutical formulations will be studied. The impact of the flavanone type ligands and their derivatives on the mobilization index of essential and toxic elements in human plasma will be examined by computer simulations. The mechanism of Kolbe-Schmitt reaction of the alkaline metal naphtoxides will be investigated. Synthesis and characterization of edaravone derivatives and its analogues will be performed, because of their application as cerebral neuroprotectants and in the treatment of patients in the acute phase of stroke. The antitumoral effect of the 3-amminopirazol derivatives will be investigated bearing in mind their high activity against some types of tumors.
