Abstract
The problems currently defined in animal production and health status of pigs, poultry and cattle in the world and our country are the diseases of respiratory and digestive tract in pigs and poultry, and cattle mastitis. In Serbia they are most often caused by Mycopasmae spp. and bacteria Actinobacilus pleuropneumoniae, Brachyspira hyodisenteriae, E. coli, Salmonellae spp, Haemophilus parasuis and Staphylococcus aureus, excluding viruses. There is uncontrolled and excessive use of antibiotics for prophylactic or therapeutic purpose and, consequently, enhanced resistance level of targets microorganisms. Poor zoohygienic conditions on the farms; the water supply for the farms in Vojvodina is usually from own wells. Water is uncontrolled and inappropriately maintained. Examine the adverse effects , pharmacovigilance in the conditions of uncontrolled and excessive use. Determine the level and resistance mechanism in the isolated microorganisms. Design a national program proposal for monitoring the resistance to zoonotic bacteria. In vitro and in vivo examination of the safety of plant substances with the purpose to determine a possibility of their application in prophylaxis of infectious diseases in domestic animals will be performed. A program for substantial improvement in controlling the infectious diseases of respiratory and digestive tract in pigs and poultry and mastitis in cattle will be made.
