Biography
Bojana Kovačević Petrović is an Associate professor at the Department of Italian and Ibero-American Studies of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Novi Sad and director of the Ibero-American Center FFUNS. She graduated and mastered Spanish language and Hispanic literature at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Belgrade, where she also defended her doctoral dissertation in 2017. She has published more than 50 scientific articles and essays on the literary works of Spanish and Latin American writers, edited several anthologies and translated over thirty books. As a visiting professor, she held courses and lectures in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Spain and the Balkan region. She is also literary, judicial, simultaneous and consecutive translator and interpreter. She is a member of the Association of Literary Translators of Serbia. She was rewarded the Order of Isabella the Catholic for her services in spreading and popularizing the Spanish language and culture.
