Abstract
The project contains palaeontological, stratigraphical and tectonic studies in Slovenia which are significant in solution of fundamental problems. New palaeobilogical data provide a basis for an improved biostratigraphical subdivision of geological formations in Slovenia. Cognition of geological structure in Slovenia is of essential importance for understanding the geological processes in wider Alpne, Dinaric and Pannonian regions. Proposed research programme will enrich knowledge of our natural heritage and is important for Slovenian geological science.
