Abstract
This project provides a detailed study of processes that take place in the ledeburitic tool steels ftrom their castings up to the beginning of hot forming aiming to improve the hot formability of existing steels and intoduction of a new ledeburitic tool steels. Within the framework of the project the physicaly based model with prediction capability for entire process chain will be introduced. The project is oriented in improving of economics of production of existing ledeburitic tool steels and simplifying the development of new steels in Metal Ravne.
