Significance for science
Research program "Ethics and ontology" re-actualises the significance of interconnections between ontology, aesthetics, ethics and political philosophy. Philosophical foundations explored are important also for the modernisation of national identity. The project introduces the latest results from analytical philosophy and offers an innovative ontological model, which can offer plausible solutions in other fields of inquiry as well (psychology, literary theory, linguistics, etc.).
Significance for the country
Publications, conferences and dissertation prepared within the frame of the project show that the research programme has overcome a traditional prejudice of uselessness of philosophical investigations. Stable conceptual foundations of various disciplines enable a clear statement of problems, a fruitful discussion and rational solutions, which should be of prime interest of all social groups and societies. Philosophical foundations explored are of vital importance for the modernization of national identity.
