Abstract
The company Iskra Avtoelektrika d.d., through the process of forming, manufactures component parts for starters, alternators and one-way motors. The majority of components are vital parts which carry relatively large static and dynamic loads.
The design mechanical loads are achieved through selected heat treatments and surface hardening.
Heat treatment is also key in the preparation of steel slabs for cold working. It is an established, high quality and competitive technology.
Preliminary results show that, with the proper heat treatment and its proper sequencing, it is possible to greatly improve the quality of component parts thus improving the reliability and lifetime of electrical devices for the automotive industry.
