Physical exercise and quality of life of adults - establishing links between different types of fitness training for older people and their bio-psycho-social response - development of new diagnostic technologies - construction of research group which brings together experts in the field of kinesiology, medicine, physiotherapy, social work and technical science that can solve this kind of interdisciplinary problems in the described areas of expertise - development of new research for their application in specific circumstances - different age groups, problems with physical apparatus, workload, recreation - development of new knowledge in the field of control and foot stability - development of methods for the normalisation of the EMG signal in the frequency domain, which allows a more accurate differentiation between the muscles of fatigue than existing methods - development of new methods for the diagnosis of fatigue - software development and diagnostic procedures for the analysis of fatigue
Significance for the country
From the research of developmental trends and environmental influences on physical and motor development of children and youth the program group managed to gather the data upon which we are going to develop professional criteria that would enable the evaluations of health risks of physical inactivity and obesity, and of early identification of health-risk groups of children and their inclusion in early intervention programs. Based on the data, gathered by the program group, appropriate policies on the long-term solutions of physical abilities of Slovenian citizens can be implemented.
