Significance for the country
From the research of developmental trends and environmental influences on physical and motor development of children and youth the program group managed to gather the data upon which we are going to develop professional criteria that would enable the evaluations of health risks of physical inactivity and obesity, and of early identification of health-risk groups of children and their inclusion in early intervention programs. Based on the data, gathered by the program group, appropriate policies on the long-term solutions of physical abilities of Slovenian citizens can be implemented.
