Biography
Assoc Prof Dr Dr Helena Blažun Vošner obtained her first PhD at the University of Maribor from the field of Management and organization of online services and applications for elderly people. In August 2013 she finished PhD at the University of Eastern Finland from Health care sciences, her main PhD topic is also connected to the use of information communication technology by elderly people for their better quality of life. In the scope of the project Distant e-learning for nursing education DENED she was awarded with the grant from the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. As a fellow at the Johns Hopkins University Technology Fellowship Program, funded by the Center for Educational Resources at Homewood, Helena Blažun Vošner was creating “The Virtual Teaching Assistant” under the guidance of faculty members Prof Dr Patricia A. Abbott and Krysia Hudson. For many years Assoc Prof Helena Blažun Vošner was a Head of the Center for International Cooperation at the Faculty of Health Science University of Maribor, and also act as Erasmus Coordinator for student, staff and professors mobility exchanges. She published many scientific and professional articles, the most important was published in highly respected journals with high citation index, for example Computers in Human Behavior, Nursing Ethics, Nurse education today etc. Mostly the articles are from the field of the project interest; however Assoc Prof Dr Blažun Vošner also compled two PhDs from the field of the project.
