Description
Innovative Centre Faculty of Chemistry Belgrade Ltd (ICFCB) was founded in 2009 by Council of Faculty of Chemistry University of Belgrade, as SME focused on development, creation and promotion of high-level research, innovation, products, technologies, processes and services. Ground for participation is research and development (R&D) in natural and technical sciences, realization of national and international innovative and research projects, participation in permanent education (long-life-learning) and PhD studies, R&D in chemistry and chemical technology, transfer of know-how knowledge and technology, production of fine chemicals for fundamental research and industry as well, quality control and certification of environmental and industry processes, consulting in patent documentation, protection of intellectual property and other documentation necessary for realization of innovative and R&D activities. Branch of inovations and R&D activities are food chemistry, biotechnology, medicinal chemistry and material science including nanomaterials. At this moment ICFCB employs 32 researchers engaged on innovative and research projects of national interest as well as a variable number of collaborating researchers, graduate, MS and PhD students of Faculty of Chemistry and related faculties of BU, which are additionally involved in realisation of national and international projects. Currently ICFCB runs five innovative projects at national level which include a project in food chemistry. Innovative and R&D projects ICFCB jointly realized with major institutions and industry bodies like Ministry of Education and Science, Hemofarm AD Vršac (a pharmaceutical company), CIN (Center for food research) and several SMEs involved in food production. Strong professional back-ground of ICFCB employees in realization of innovative and R&D projects, and experience in fundamental experimental sciences, enables successful transfer of highest level technology, cuting-edge knowledge, first-class expertise in implementation of innovation, know-how transfer and consulting.
